Interesting #2

THE CRAFT MANIFESTO by KATE BINGAMAN BURT for HANDMADE NATION

It's not really a secret that I love typography. the more handdrawn- the better. It's also no secret that i love indie craft. I like independent artists. I like making the world a better place. I like quirky drawings. I like people making stuff from scratch. I like community. I like skills learnt and passed on. I like etsy. I like craft fairs. I like zines.
This one drawing/statement/manifesto just sums up everything that Handmation is about- it also is a very good example of Kate's work (of which I follow and love). Also those colours kill me. seriously. i die for that dirty mustard and brown. I like to think that I am part of this in a small way. I follow Faythe Levin (one of the authors) on twitter who is always tweeting about jetting off here or there, sharing the handmade nation love. I think she is working on a second book/movie. That interests me a lot.
p.s. ack! look what i found of kate's. love
