Interesting #9

JIM HOUSER

nice interview here.
A good example of not limiting yourself to just a canvas or a piece of paper- Jim Houser often transcends the barriers that often inhibit painters and illustrators, bringing his work into 3D, across entire rooms, merging edges and even letting the message come through musically. His colour choices make me happy and that he built little plants and painted them to create this entire world.Behind all of that, the way he communicates things through very simple lines and words is interesting- even though it takes a little bit of interpretation to get the true meaning (like a lot of his work is about dealing with losing his wife but that's not obvious on first glance). I think he deals with emotions in a beautiful way.
